I am not sure the history of the name ringworm, but this skin condition is caused by a fungus, not a worm.

The fungus loves moist warm areas and is often found in locker rooms, swimming pools, clothes, sports gear and towels.

It is quite contagious through skin to skin contact or skin contact to any of the items listed above.

Most people do not realize but animals also get ringworm and it can spread to humans through touch.

Symptoms of ringworm is an itchy rash in the shape or a ring, if left untreated the ring can blister and crack.

There are two primary natural suggestions for ringworm.  Tea Tree oil topically or Silver shield internally and topically.
